Ah-huh! So AOL really is in fear of the threat of NetZero. Wasn't there an agreement some years ago to move to open systems? Didn't Apple compromise on this issue a long time ago, so Apple computers could talk with IBM computers, or something like that. And here goes AOL, again, with yet another unfriendly and very unopen insult to Internet users.

It used to the that techi-types didn't like AOL. However, if AOL continues its present course, it'll go well beyond consumers who'll hate AOL--it'll become the ordinary user who'll end up hating AOL.

AOL is an ISP bully who'll ultimately pay the price as subscribers become more informed about what AOL does. I predict they'll go elsewhere, and not just to NetZero, but to other ISPs paid and free alike. It's my opinion the decline of AOL is growing. I think it began last August when the insiders sold their shares. Down the raod I think it'll get messy for AOL investors. Good luck to 'em!
