Some interesting statistics here....

I am taking a survey regarding WebTv, @Home, UUNET, AOL and Mindspring.

The poll question is "Who will lead in % gains in new memberships by the end of 1999 for internet access (ISP)?"

The results thus far are...

America Online: 32%
@Home Networks: 51%
Road Runner: 6%
UUnet: 2%
WebTV: 4%
Mindspring: 3%

Total Votes: 389

So would anyone care to explain where these expectations are pointing us? It sure is interesting.

@Home/AT&T is surely bypassing Microsoft's WebTv by a longshot?!

Are people loosing faith in Microsoft's stance here, should we expect a change(MSFT)?

Interested in feedback since I would expect Microsoft to make a major move here to gain market share in this arena.

...You would begrudge a poor janitor their one-in-a-million motherlode...

I would not! I would like them paid a fair wage for their work. If they wish to invest some of their income and profit from it, that's their perogative, if they choose not to, that's their business as well.

Cheers, PW.
