I am still in suspense myself....I would like to say that I myself have never supported compulsory prayer as part of daily exercises. I did support the custom of benedictions at high- school graduations (on another thread), on the principle that the sensibilities of the majority are no less important than the sensibilities of the minority, and the continuation of the custom does not amount to "establishment", especially if the prayer is non- sectarian, as had been the case for decades in this country...I also have supported the posting of the Ten Commandments along with wisdom verses encouraging good behavior from the scriptures of other major religions....I guess if that means I am a Know Nothing, I will have to bear up....LOL!
