Was it a currency transaction loss or merely a
currency translation loss of 4c ? If the latter, it's
largely a non-issue.

I couldn't tell from any of the stories that I could find.

Thanks

>>Its not what next quarter is relevant, but the next five years.<<
Larry Weinbach has stated many times that the goal is to grow revenues to $11 billion by 2002. With this revenue growth he has set the goal of growing the EPS by double the percentage growth of the revenue. So if revenue grows by 8% - 10% then EPS will grow 16% to 20%. I will gladly invest in any company with that type of growth.

>>In any case whatever the growth will turn out to be you should expect ups and downs just due to granularity of the deal sizes.<<
No stock ever goes straight up or for that matter straight down. I agree with you that the stock's valuation will fluctuate. However a drop of nearly 20 points when the company made all its numbers except the revenue (which in a large part is explained by currency fluctuations) is over done. If the reaction had been 4 points I would not be making these posts. The point I am trying to make is this stock should return to the mid 30s soon.

>>UIS doesn't yet have a positive 5 year track record<<
But by the end of 1999 they will have 3 years of positive revenue growth and 2 years of positive EPS growth. So if you want to get in on the ground floor this is the time.
