Since I am not per se a Christian, and therefore not beholden to the Bible, it is not my fight, but I have to say that Del has done something which is not uncommon---- taken a portion of the Bible out of context in order to beat upon Christians. Actually, there are various instances of Jesus praying in public, and the when he institutes the Eucharist, he is clearly enjoining a communal remembrance. In the instance cited by Del, he is disgusted with insincere prayer, and enjoins his disciples to pray hidden from the world. It is not a conflict, since the practice condemned is clear, and has no bearing on ordained communal prayer, but on private prayer.....
