I am not predicting a "bottom" per se, I just think we need a little more exuberance and optimisism before a market like this can "crash". We are overloaded with bears, the put call ratio is very bullish, there is tons of cash ready to buy any bargains (regardless of what the others here think, my data shows mucho denero on the sidelines), the economy is actually still doing well, inflationmay be growing, but it is not even near historical norms. You know, a strong run into record territory, blowing over resistance levels like they don't even exist, would convince me that it close to the time to short. At this point, I will just sit and watch. I have a few Dec. spreads now, but I think I'll wait for a sign to get back in again with any more $$
