Ever notice on all the big round numbers on Dow that you always see a move below to 80-85 and then a bounce back above, just to shake out the sellers waiting for a break of that number

ALan,
Kinda like a VIC 2B or Turtle Soup setup except the whole number replaces the traditional previous HI (LOW) price as the place the breakout player get trapped. I agree with steve in that things do not go down when everyone is sure they will. Though I do believe things do rally at that point , only to gain some longs and then subsequently do tank when everyone is sure thing are going up again.
