Dutch, Herbie Greenberg at theStreet.com has written 2 negative articles about the C3/Cree relationship. I am not a subscriber - mostly because of the negative onesided Herbie comments - but they were re-posted here and on RagingBull a while back. Try and find those articles for an explanation - one sided IMO - of the connection. You probably have to go back 4-8 weeks. BTW I am long CREE but have written some NOV40 calls. Luck Marshall

dutch, i believe it is around 10%...perhaps 15% max. cree ceo said in last weeks conference call that they could absorb it all and sell it elsewhere if necessary...but he was not predicting that.

Dutch: C3 has disappointed. Sales of the gemstones and retailer numbers have not grown as predicted and hoped. Maybe Moisanite will be a big hit, maybe it will not. Or maybe it will have to be sold overseas first. Who knows? From Cree's viewpoint, it does not matter. Sales of substrate to C3 has been about 15% of revenues this past year. Cree is now adding enough epitaxial capacity that by the April quarter all of the C3 substrate could be sold as wafers or made into diode material and sold. This is what Hunter said in the CC. In the mean time, C3 is contracted to buy material, and has the money to do so. wj
