Digital Lava and Cisco Team Up for E-Learning Program Using VideoVisor Web

MARINA DEL REY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 18, 1999--Digital Lava Inc. (Amex:DGV - news) has been awarded a large contract by Cisco Systems Inc. (Nasdaq:CSCO - news), the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, to co-develop Internet-based corporate training solutions for Cisco's E-Learning program.
Digital Lava's award-winning VideoVisor(TM) Web software solution reduces Cisco's training application production time by more than 65%, and provides critical product and company information to Cisco's employees on an interactive and on-demand basis.
``We are pleased that Cisco has chosen Digital Lava for its internal training program. We will deliver a strategic solution for current training needs at Cisco, and future worldwide E-Learning activities,' said Bob Greene, CEO of Digital Lava. ``As Cisco continues to grow, it is faced with keeping employees and resellers informed of new product releases and company strategies. Before year end, Digital Lava will enhance and repurpose more than 200 hours of Cisco's training content in Digital Lava's VideoVisor Web format, then transform it into Cisco's E-Learning for distribution over the Cisco intranet.
``Digital Lava truly understands knowledge management, and we provide standards and guidance based on years of experience working with large companies, while offering the flexibility for rapid, scalable and customized solutions,' said Joshua Sharfman, president of Digital Lava. ``The processes, formats, and systems that Cisco standardizes on now have to allow for future expansion, and Digital Lava has the means to ensure that Cisco is able to achieve its immediate and long-term E-Learning goals.'
