We are in the middle, not the end, of a severe market correction brought about by those producer price numbers and Greenspan's speech.

My brain tells me that this is being overdone, inflation isn't a problem, and the downside risks of tightening up on money are too severe to contemplate. But it looks like Greenspan will tighten in November. The market is factoring that in.

NOVL is grossly oversold.

I still prefer buying in the money calls not out of the money ones.

I have already sold calls to protect my long position and am looking at the right time to cash in this insurance policy by buying them back.

It's not clear to me what Scott wants to do. You can sell puts if you want to get into the stock if you have the cash. In many instances its better to do that then buy a call.
