EFAX...news...eFax.com Signs Integration Deal with Network Solutions
Businesses Obtaining New Domain Names Automatically Offered eFax Account and Online Fax Services
MENLO PARK, Calif. (October 18, 1999) - eFax.com (NASDAQ: EFAX), the world's leading Internet provider of fax-to-email services, today announced a multi-year strategic alliance with Network Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: NSOL), the leading Internet domain registration service provider, to provide fax-to-email service to businesses as they sign up for new domain names.
The alliance between Network Solutions and eFax.com was developed to offer fax as a part of Network Solutions' dot com start-up packages. In addition to the other services offered, customers will get a fax number that they can publish as part of their standard business information - essentially fax-enabling all Network Solutions business clients. As an added plus, customers will receive a custom "eFax Me" button both on their hosted home page and in the Network Solutions dot com directoryTM listing, allowing businesses to send them a fax for free from their web site.
"Our vision for dot com directory is to introduce businesses to customers - and FAX is one way in which we can complete the introduction," said Doug Wolford, general manager, Network Solutions, Inc. "This agreement helps us offer businesses an innovative Internet fax application uniquely designed to help new customers find them. eFax.com is the leading provider of Internet fax services. Their services fit the demographics of our business users, and we look forward to a long working relationship."
"Network Solutions currently has more than 5 million registrations and eFax.com has over 1.25 million subscribers. Working with Network Solutions will help eFax.com significantly expand its user base and reach more small businesses,"" said Ron Brown, vice president of marketing for eFax.com. "dot com offers a tremendous amount of value to small businesses and we're very excited to provide an additional solution to the mix."
