Center is Latest to Join Team

VALENCIA, Calif., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- DCH Technology; (OTC Bulletin Board: DCHT -
news; dcht.com) announced today that Stephanie L. Hoffman is the new Vice
President and General Manager of Fuel Cell Operations. DCHT is a growing, diversified
hydrogen technology firm serving critical applications, including safety and power.

Ms. Hoffman comes to DCHT from Eaton Corporation where she was the Director of Strategic
Technology Planning and the Business Technology Manager, Cutler-Hammer Products and
Services. She is a proven leader of technical innovation teams and experienced in fuel cell
business planning.

``Ms. Hoffman has unique insight from both a technical and business perspective,' said David
Haberman, DCH Technology's Chairman. ``Stephanie's experience in managing advanced
product portfolios and conducting in-depth opportunity assessments of new products will prove
invaluable as we continue to expand our fuel cell business.'

``DCHT impressed me with their product orientation, the emphasis on reliability and simplicity
of design is distinct,' said Hoffman. ``DCHT is well positioned for exceptional growth through
its initial portable power focus which addresses current niche markets. Portable power spans a
range of uses from batteries and battery chargers to small generators and dedicated backup
power equipment.'

The fuel cell business sector is expected to grow to over $2 billion annually. Ms. Hoffman's
work at Eaton prepared her to further develop DCH's fuel cell business, as well as manage a
large scale manufacturing operation, a goal of the DCHT strategic plan.

Founded in 1995, DCH Technology focuses on the development and manufacturing of hydrogen
enabling technologies, including the Robust Hydrogen Sensor and the PEM Hydrogen Fuel Cell.
DCH Technology has its headquarters and sensor facilities in Valencia, CA, fuel cell facilities
in Madison, WI and a communications office in Washington, DC, and is currently the one of the
few public companies dedicated to a hydrogen energy future.
