Hi Rudy,..Re:. The roadmap was about linking up "intelligent devices" to this system - everything from washing machines to intelligent power monitoring.

We already have 2 notebooks and a Dell Dimension trading PC and printer networked via a COMS LAN. Wires hanging around the kitchen, cute! <g> But a couple of years ago Siemens had these mini PCs which weren't much more than an I/O rack (ET100s) and a limited function CPU for ON/OFF, INC/DEC and setpoint/target functions. Kind of like the old Honeywell controllers.

Was thinking that the PC could just as well do these functions plus automatically log faults or keep maintenance schedules as well as the current functions. Can't see setting this stuff up on the TV! <GGG>

I don't think you're going to have to take the INTC but then my forecasting record isn't enviable.<g> Also, the crystal ball has been especially cloudy lately. <ggg> Just hard to see much more downside for bonds with Y2K coming and we know there will be some flight to quality there.

Cheers,

Lee
