Uniprime Capital Acceptance Announces Corporate Reorganization, New Offices, New Management

PHOENIX, Nov 15, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Uniprime Capital Acceptance Inc. (OTC:UPCA) today announced that it is refocusing on its mission as an automotive holding company with primary emphasis to be placed on automotive dealership acquisitions.

This renewed focus is being accomplished through the hiring of Stanley F. Wilson as its new CEO and chairman of the board and the establishment of new corporate offices at 2425 East Camelback Road No. 950, Phoenix, Ariz. 86016, 602/508-3566.

Wilson is a mergers and acquisition automotive attorney with public company executive experience. As a part of this reorganization, all previous officers and directors have resigned and Wilson exercises voting control of the company's common stock.

"I look forward to the opportunity to work with the approximately 150 new car dealers that make up a portion of our shareholder base in an effort to have Uniprime strategically position itself in the current new car dealership consolidation trend. I expect to use my contacts in the industry as the former CEO of the Nebraska and Arizona new car dealers associations to launch an aggressive new acquisition plan." Wilson said.

Re: Are UPCA's new offices a mail drop?

Janice,

In a PM you said the Camelback address seemed familiar to you. Well, it appears that it's nothing more than a glorified mail drop.

Here are some other businesses using that exact address:

The Casler Law Offices, Casler School of Real Estate, Consumer Law Books Publishing House, Casler Law Offices, and Statutory Agent Services. (All owned by Carlton C. Casler)
caslerlawoffice.com

Informix sales office

Cambridge Technology Partners

THOMAS, SEAN, Employed by THE BERNSTEIN MURPHY COMPANIES, L.L.C.

=====

FWIW, that address shows up in Edgar filings for a bunch of companies, although not the exact suite number:

Suite 530 - CENTURION FUNDS INC, Omnibus/Centurion Capital Management
Suite 620 - Hagens, Berman & Mitchell
Suite 650 - Bionutrics Inc. (BNRX)
Suite 700 - LAWYERS TITLE OF ARIZONA, INC
Suite 750 - VESTAR-ATHENS RESORTS, L.L.C., and Vestar Property Management
Suite 1065 - American Business Financial Services, Inc. (ABFI)
SUITE 1175 - CAPITAL TITLE GROUP INC (CTGI)

Uniprime gets a very prominent mention in this months Money Magazine in an article entitled "The Seedy World of Online Scam Stocks" by writer/columnist Amy Feldman.

Ms. Feldman names several investors and details their Uniprime losses, and how they came to "invest" in Uniprime. One anonymous speculator admitted to losing almost $65K. Another 'fessed up to $5K and a third lost almost $1.4K...

She also mentions as dubious (and well cyber-touted) investments, Digs Inc and NELX Inc...

RB received the honorable mention as the chat board that generated the most UPCA interest, having over 13K posts which she says was 55% more than the MSFT thread for the same time period.

SI posters and lurkers will remember that SI cybersleuths were among the very first cybercitizens to sound the alarm regarding Uniprime. Well done, guys and gals...
