PAIR's Avidia which began rolling out last week is expected to carry the G.lite torch, having rigorous fast retrain and advance power mgmt functionality (which is also full rate splitterless ready, IF that happens).

that combined with the industry transition to the PAIR pioneered HDSL2 (after the Dec ITU ratification) should give them a needed revenue boost next year - if they are still free standing by then.
