He characterizes Pakistan as a beggar democracy of Bhutto and Sharif Kaplan hopes that this MASALA (my word) Civilian-Military regime does not retrace its steps to the neofeudalist (my word) state of affairs- that is filthy rich land-owning / low-tech industrialists - eg sugar - running the country and lining their pockets. The Sindhi and Punjabi clans were running the country and now we got a MOHAJIR running the country. What is happening? Is there a deterioration in the ethnic purity of the rulers? Now it takes an INDIAN (by any other name IS STILL AN INDIAN) to rule your country. We do have beggars in the country, but we are not a beggar democracy, as characterized by Kaplan.
