i m not worried about msft erning. Going forward erning grwoth maybe slowing and that may be the cause of the jitters...

I think the real concerns about MSFT's earnings is related to Office2k. That is what i had heard this morning. With the move to the cheaper PCs, there may be less buyers of the bundled Office Suites. Windows98 sales should be great. Blowout earnings are not expected.
The is a good thing, meaning the stock should not really sell off if they report in line with expectations. I would expect some upside surprise due to the deferal of revenue upon the launch of Office2k from previous quarters. Maybe we won't get an increase in the unearned revenue account this quarter.
