Hell's bells, we all live in houses, don't we? <g>

Maybe architecture has no importance in the culture, but it is of paramount importance in the civilization. There can be no civilization, period, without architecture...

Mind you, I distinguish "civilization" from "culture.' Tent-dwellers can have culture, but they have no civilization. By contrast, in the modern age, it is possible to have civilization, but no culture.

Importance of architecture on culture...

Architecture for many defines a culture. It is often the only thing that survives the passing of time (think Stone henge)

e.g.
What's the first thing you think of when you here about the Pharohs?
Ancient Greece will always be linked with the Parthenon, Rome with the Colliseum (and the arch).

Need I say more?
