I didn't remember needling you last year (I was in Japan for the last two games) but if you say I did I probably should believe you because it is in my nature. <VBG> I think the idea of rationalizing why someone is justified in throwing things at a sporting event is a bit well irrational.

The Red Sox payroll is nearly that of the Indians (I think it is about $10 million less if I remember right) so I think that point is moot as well.

As for the umpires costing the team the game. BALONEY It is a shame the umpire missed the call (I assume he did I didn't see it). But a good team will also overcome these things as they are part of the game. They always have and they always will. Nobody got ripped off by Major League Baseball. The human element for the fans to act like morons is fine if you want the world to think of you (Boston) as a city full of morons that don't know any better than those morons downwind from you in New York.

Matty,

Why no response last night. Could it be that it is because you blew another game because your teams defense was the worst in ALCS history? 10 errors is bad (almost as bad as 44 runs in 2 1/2 games (LOL).

BTW I was bored and looked back at last years posts and you did about the same thing as this year you wrote a similarly nasty post after the tribe got beat by NY. (At least we won two games against them). As for the WS I think Atlanta will be tough to beat. I hope so because if there is one thing I share with you it is a great dislike (no strike that) hatred for the Yankees.

Heard a rumor here that Torre will retire if they win it and that Steinbrenner would hire Hargrove.
