Noticed along the way a mention of Disney. Think he should be included, not as cartoonist but as originator of late 20th century cultural phenomenon of the "Disney-ation" of the American identity - as exported world wide, taking over broadcasting, Times Square etc.

Personally, find it scary. But it's real.

Sort of like the early 20th century's Horatio Alger - who, after writing hundred's of stories about the poor fellow making good, died penniless. The Disney people are a little better organized...

These have influenced far more minds than almost any other literary or entertainment figure you could name, IMO.

(How about Dale Carnegie?)
