The source is the "opening" of the Japanese Postal Saving systems. Savers will be allowed to diversify into other investments and, IMHO, even if just 2% per year of that finds its way into the world financial markets (and I assume such a low rate, because Japanese savers are extremely conservative), that will add close to $200 Billions in liquidity trying to find a home, meaning our interest rates may go down again under 5% toward the end of next year.
