Luther, no I don't know for sure, but here's why I think it's unlikely they sold out.

1) Magellan fund currently worth about 90 billion. To make top 10 holdings TYC probably 1.5% or 2% of fund. That's about 15 million to 20 million TYC shares, at prices before the sell-off. Say 60 million shares traded last 3 days. I just don't see FMAGX accounting for 25% to 33% of total trading volume, in the last 3 days. Not with other funds active, small mom and pop investors, and the large number of 1000 share day trades.

2) Stansky doesn't put $2 billion into a company without doing his homework. Tice's report is based on public information. He didn't even talk to TYC. Doubt Tice discovered anything Fidelity didn't already know.

Just my best guess. John
