briand, the statement id from NY Times.
SBC said during cc, that 75% will go into access. This would mean that ALA will get 100%.
So, where is the rest of vendors. If this is true ALA would go sharlpy up, what is not the case.
We will know in several weeks.
The same Bloomberg said that NT,LU and NN would benefit.

I saw the ALA comments, but the JPC was awarded in 1996 and is based on first-gen DSLAMs, not the kind of equipment needed for what SBC's just announced.

While I believe ALA will get its share, I don't think they'll get the amount Bloomberg is quoting.

At any rate, we'll know soon enough.
