FUZFO, Thanks for the article. I sometimes scan the news too quickly, but was glad to slow down for this article, especially this part:

According to a report released by International Data Corp. (IDC), 3Com
in the first half of calendar 1999 registered the highest growth of any
company in the Asia Pacific access concentrator market. IDC's figures
show that 3Com's Asia Pacific concentrator market revenues increased
157 percent and that the number of ports shipped increased by 215
percent, compared to the first half of calendar year 1998. In Korea,
IDC figures show that 3Com further consolidated its leadership in the
remote access market with a 303 percent growth in overall revenues for
a 53 percent market share.

According to a report from Synergy Research Group released in
September, 3Com held a 39 percent share of the worldwide Internet
service provider access concentrator market for the second quarter of
1999.

"As Asia Pacific recovers from the economic downturn, more and more
service providers are beginning to invest again in infrastructure and
are choosing the 3Com Total Control multiservice access platform as
their foundation for scalable, reliable service creation," said Matthew
Kapp, president, 3Com Asia Pacific.
