Great news. They are doing just what they said: selling more games and accessories over the Internet. No fancy strategies, just plain and simple: sell more products and make more money. More earnings, better stock price.

When they unveiled their Internet strategy they did say that they would announce more than one deal over the coming weeks. Interesting. No hype but plenty of delivery. These guys seem to know where they are going.

Thanks for your link. Perhaps the intriguing thing which may have escaped a few people is that CDPlus is being merged with CDWI - perhaps together with the video game addition being provided by ZapYou.com. If so, GTR will have gained a foothold into the interesting US market niche being provided by CDWI - which, although small by US standards, is still the largest US player in value-priced CD music. If they can apply this market presence to video games, we could see GTR opening up a brand new market segment from budget buyers of CD music and just in time for the Christmas season.
