Wow. I have sort of wondered if some version of your McCaw scenario might not be a possibility. I can't see them doing anything with Iridium and Teledisic seems to be real pie in the sky at 9 billion and climbing. Hey, and I thought Bernie was dumping the DNC in favor of Jesse Ventura.

I loved how every month a) GlobalStar was on track while the expected end-of-year subscriber total kept dropping and b) Loral stock price keeps dropping every month from a higher level.

Very clever. And with an appropriately cynical (but not bitter) regard for Bernie's pronouncements.

Update for 2:44 a.m. EDT
Plus 22 minutes. SPACECRAFT SEPARATION. Orion-2 has been released from the Ariane rocket's third stage following this successful launch today. The spacecraft is flying free in space in an elliptical transfer orbit. Over the coming weeks, its orbit will be refined to a circular geostationary orbit 22,300 miles above Earth.

RS,

I'm a short-celebrating (vs. long suffering) LOR shareholder as I got in yesterday for 16 9/16. Given your scenario, it seems to me that one should buy a little GSTRF and let it run, while doing covered calls on LOR anytime the appropriate subcommittee is in session :~D
