Dell's solution to rising DRAM is using less DRAM. If there is a spike in MU, buy some long-term puts. I am going to keep an eye on MU.

Benkea, i hear CD-roms also went up in price and something else as well, i don't recall what it was. btw, how about MU specific instead of Dell specific?<gg>

Also LCD's (impacts the lap tops).

Short term means if you can delay buying a PC wait till January. We should see better discounts this January than years past. Its only those that have to buy this quarter will.

Heinz,I personally would be shocked if th U.S. installed tariffs,the steel industry fought feircely for protection,and they had a strong case but nonetheless they got none.
The anti-protectionist attitude is deeply entrenched I believe.

And if protectionism came forth it is then "bye,bye" the great new global economy,and replaced by what? Max
