I'm not really sure. Why not just participate through the joint venture they already have 50% of? This article certainly appears to have touched off the run, but I suspect you can't attribute the full extent to it. AOL has been tracking the INDU like a blood hound and you know how crazy that went about the same time. If I were to guess, it is good news, but no great shakes given what is already built into the stock price. AOL is being traded in the narrow baskets that are driving the DOW and S&P and it will likely follow them albeit earnings might do something. -g-

FWIW
AOL tested a support level today and formed a candle which is suggestive of short covering. Lower support is at about the $105 level and near term upper resistance if at $113 5/8, above that it's $121 5/16.
