Sometimes we think you worry too much. Have some wine. Have a smile!

<<I I I have done NOTHING of course. >>

For once.

<<I have merely been observing behavior that I find astonishingly juvenile and strange in grown people. And it makes me nervous--- like-- what is WRONG with them that they act like this? >>

Now the doctor needs to know what kind of behavior before saying funny ha ha or funny but not amusing.

Is it grown people act like idiots? That must be normal as it is very common.

I thought I had hit on the right explanation for the behavior you complain of, penni, but since I posted it to myself (for fear of hurting some very touchy feelers) I am not sure the right people read it. <g>

Here's my explanation. What do you think?

You folks post too much to SI. That's the real problem here, basically.

You allow yourselves to get too sucked in, too involved, too wired, too hyped, all those negative vibes zapping you relentlessly all day long from deep inside your computer, so that by late in the evening your brains are all frizzled and frazzled, your clenched teeth have been ground down to the bone, your hair is standing on end as if you had just been electrocuted, and you are going cross-eyed from staring into the monitor, doing virtual battle with ghosts who disappear when you try to touch them, while there in the background, ignored, someone, a real solid 3-D person, is saying, tentatively, "John (or Mary, or Sue, or Bill)? Uhh...can you hear me?....Uhmm...are you coming to bed? Ever again? John?"

Gee, that was a fun sentence. Pity I couldn't make it longer.

Anyway, quite seriously, I do suggest cutting down. If you make a vow
to cut down from your usual say, 50 posts a day to 10, or better yet,to 5, you won't want to waste your posts on pissing contests or poison dart tourneys or the like. And you might actually write something that someone else might want to read.
