Zip install problem....I installed an internal Zip as slave on the Primary IDE channel where the HD is master (that's the only connection available). Software installation went without a hitch and the system recognizes the Zip as drive E: When I boot up the activity light on the Zip comes on for a second and then goes out and drive won't function. Anybody have any ideas?

Dave

I don't really understand your question, but I'll give it a shot.

is there a difference between Incontrol 98 to 99?

I assume you are referring to the In Control applet that accompanied the installation of the Viper driver, at least with the 330, which is all I have experience with. If so, I'm not familiar with a 98 or 99 version. I surmise that the latest version is contained in the latest driver for your specific card.

how can you load it on a V550 and V330 computer??

If you are talking about combining the two cards in a Multi-Monitor (MM) environment, all I know is the following:

The 330 can ONLY be used in a MM configuration by combining multiple 330 PCI cards in NT 4.0, and in Win 98, only if it is paired with another card that requires an IRQ. (It used to not work at all in MM in Win 98)

I'm not familiar with what has happened with the 550 since its release, but when I checked at that time, it didn't support MM. I think it does now, in Win98, but not sure about NT 4.0 I remember it has some issues with regards to certain motherboards.

Check Diamond's FAQ at
diamondmm.com for more help. (replace the 330 with 550 for the other card)

Sorry I couldn't help more.
