the market will interpret DELL numbers whatever way is most predisposed to profit

we are oversold while plumbing for a bottom

whorehouses can see little downside opp
the action is on the upside from here

it will surprise the pimply dumbasses who are looking to buy cheaper, or looking for their shorts to pay off

maybe the market will bore us to death for a couple days

only a market that "moves" can make money
this market aint budging much lower

JRH -

DELL warned because of high chip prices due to the earthquake. Nothing fundamentally wrong with their business. I don't see this having a large effect on the market....

Probably but my guess is that if its not chip prices then it will be retail prices, or marketing costs or the exchange rate for the $ etc.

Dell is a great company but I don't believe that it has very much of its own IPR and without that it will be remorselessly attacked by competition and so thereby will its margins.

OK so does WallMart but I don't think the two are comparable.

Thinking about it I would have loved to have bought a Dell notebook but I have always ended up buying Toshiba. I have bought on average one new notebook per annum. OK thats not going to help Michael Dell retire but I bet I'm not the only one.

Nothing would have made me happier than to buy a Dell from Texas but when I tried to buy a desktop they told me it would be about a week or so and I just didn't do it.

I'm sure Dell will do very well but their earnings are going to be under preasure from now on ..my guess.

Best regards,

L
