Osprey,

Thoughts and Post from Stockhouse:

While I await a flare as much or more as anyone, until test time it is my understanding that a flare will not occur if our skilled drillers maintain perfect control - a thing we hope for.

GH and S&P - is that correct.

As for nerves - yeah, we all are anxious. Take comfort in knowing that this operation is being well run by an quality operating organization whose primary goal is a quality end result - not a short term price spike.

Bob

PS: Interesting post from Stockhouse:

there is group of analysts and big producing
brokers heading down to calif tomorrow a.m.the
tour was arranged by eland jennings.
nesbitt burns,on friday, and td securities today
both reinstated coverage on bkp with buys.nesbitt
looking for 18;td target is 18.50.
cash flow estimates are 2.25-2.35 for 2000,with no
production included in these estimates for calif.
that is all gravy.at 14 bkp is a steal.the analysts are more excited about bkp nwt properties than calif right now because they have
already made 2 major discoveries there last year,
one with chevron and another with paramount.
testing at elh should start later this week.apparently,as well as flare permits, they had
to buy pollution credits, bring high pressure
completion equipment in from the u.k.,as well as
other logistical things.dont forget,if the packer
hadnt leaked the testing would be underway now.
it leaked because of the extreme pressures, which
is good!
these deep wells take time.hibernia was discovered
back in 1978 and started producing last year.these
wells wont take that long, but keeping things in
perspective and not being concerned with every
turn of the drill bit and every nickel move in
stock prices is essential to making money on this
play.
as for cal, they are probably so mudded up they
dont even know if they are into it yet or not.
they are at 14550 or so on way to 18000.they could
get some good sands on the way down and also some
wet ones on the way down to td.
the safest way to invest in this play are bkp,pou
and elk.elk is down because their issue settled
last week and the riders have to pay for it.
