Nice to hear from you, charred. exploration is going well. just before sundown tonight, i understand from an eMail, that Roy uncovered a longer tunnel with an adit off to the left. I'm supposed to be getting some pictures from them to put up on the website. I'll let you know when I've got them up.

Since all this tunnel stuff they are uncovering was hand dug by the Chinese back in the previous century's gold rush, and since they were small of stature--considered to be an asset in the frugal mining practices of the previous century,-- Pat wrote that this tunnel was particularly noteworthy: it was over 12 feet in height throughout.

Fortunately, the weatherman says that it is supposed to be in the upper 60s to upper 70s the rest of this week. I can hardly wait to go up there and see them for myself--with pan in hand of course!<vbg>
