Justa, re" Japan's Finance Minister Kiichi Miyazawa said on Tuesday investors should be very careful about developments in the U.S. stock market, in line with a series of warnings by Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan".

Great, now Green mouth is not only discouraging US investors but causing a worldwide move out of US equities. I kind of thought Bob might be overdoing it on Greenspan last weekend but the above comments in your post are scary. Sounds like almost the kind of thing you could point to in retrospect for a market plunge. a nervous market in an October correction before y2k and now an issue is being raised to significant foreign buyers of US stocks and bonds. What is Europe going to be the next to issue a comment after Japan?

Marc
