It's called wait it out. (i.e. defer buying that new PC you wanted for X-mas and instead buy in next year when the DRAM situation has been resolved.

Frankly I also saw this problem coming and I sold out after the optimistic company meeting two weeks ago at 45 3/8

Also the RD-RAM (Rambus) issue gave me the wilies with everyone receiving the new DELL catalog listing the nonexistent systems.
Figured that all this stuff would be bad news for Dell's next quarter.
