Giraffe << Arthur Hailey - up there with Dickens, Tolstoy and Tom Clancy>>

The following is one paragraph of what this man sent to Denver.

Its from the Cafe and I know its incorrect for me to post it here,
but this man has a way with words that gives a clear as a bell message.

-start-
"I happen to live in a wealthy community, Lyford Cay, Bahamas, where I find many people are interested in what I have to say. Also, because of my activity as an international writer (my books are published in 40 languages) I also have a wide circle of friends and contacts, and am passing the word along, urging others to do the same as I have, plus tell their friends. At the moment this may not have enormous effect, but as you know, when a pebble is dropped into a pool the ripples spread outward. And oh yes, my contacts in the media, which are many - something else that goes with being a long-time author - are becoming increasingly interested and objective.

One thing that helps is that I am almost 80, not too active these days, so have lots of spare time to help GATA, which is so splendidly representing ordinary investors such as my wife and myself."
-finish-

It is not important, but of the following:

Arthur Hailey, Dickens, Tolstoy and Tom Clancy

I read Tolstoy but found it too simple in thoughts and moved on to other authors.

I saw the tv movie Red October of Tom Clancy, but have not read any of his novels.

Maybe in highschool I read a story by Dickens thru homework, but recall no story names.

I have no idea who Arthur Hailey is, and the list of book names don't ring any bells.
Couple sound like book to tv shows.

For me books by Fyodor Dostoyevsky are my favorite.
