Regarding Merced - you are ignoring TWO of its most compelling features - its SMP scalability for SERVER applications and FPU horsepower for Workstation Applications. You can wax on-and-on about Athlons, Willamette, 32 bits, etc - but you are IGNORING the VERY LARGE markets for which Merced was designed. Paul
