Causabon,

If AG were really concerned about a speculative bubble, he would be pressuring the Congress, SEC, and overall financial sector to stop the distortion of the markets that large institutions are causing.

As I stated in an earlier post, when you have as many mutual funds as there are listed stocks, and each mutual fund has a yearly rendezvous with the tax man, it is inevitable that this time of year sees drastic sell-offs. Especially when they feel AG is trying to pull the rug out from underneath them.

Those "5 stocks" are being chased because that is where the liquidity is for the big institutions who are trying to trade millions of shares.

There needs to be a SERIOUS restructuring in the system so that a selected few extremely liquid stocks don't become the entire market and we stop seeing "value funds" putting 16% of their portfolio into AOL.

Regards,

Ron
