Hmmm... I think I've heard this before...everything that goes wrong in a foreign country is America's fault. The inverse of the America First movement--the Blame America First movement. Yes, yes, we turned the Russians into a corrupt unstable regime by sending over a few pointy headed economists. The instability wouldn't have anything to do with 900 years of instability, and a lack of any concept of true democracy among the people or the leadership, would it? We should have just allowed this Jeffersonian democracy to flower, but we nipped it in the bud with our Harvard-inspired policies. Sorry, what occurs to you so readily would never "occur to me" in a million years. But I tend not to blame the U.S. for all the evils of the world. I leave that to Hanoi Jane and her ilk.
