I personally have never made the attempt. For one thing, my wife is the baker around here, and therefore has attempted a cheesecake a couple of times. For another, it is hard to get it right enough, or to find a satisfactory recipe, so it is often easiest to find a place with a good cheesecake for sale, like a deli with a front counter....
