COHU down today over 10%. MU down 11%. Is there a correlation? I read somewhere (sorry no link) that spot prices were dropping. Then MU news is that they will lose sales to DELL.

Maybe with memory prices under pressure, the idea is that memory chip makers will decrease orders for equipment.

Or, alternately, the decrease in profit margin is causing a lot of COHU shareholders concerns as they digest the numbers. I suppose that the margin decrease is temporary, due to a ramp up of a new product line, but one never knows. It would have been something for management to talk about, but they did not. We'll have to wait for the SEC filings.

And here I thought when the earnings first were announced that the stock would go up. Let's just remember that last year the stocks that made no money went up more in value than the stocks that made money. Strange. Seems the way to make money on COHU is to buy before earnings, and sell after.
