Hi K and thread...

Being in cash at a time like this is GREAT!

Looking for some thoughts on the makeup of my LONG-TERM (that's an odd term on this thread, eh?) portfolio.

The thought would be to go for 25% each of the following stocks:

RHAT: The IT industry dynamic at the moment leads me to believe that this will be a profitable venture. RHAT are providing Value Add services on a contracted basis and I strongly believe they will be successful in this arena especially with the "freeware" nature of Linux. (Example: CPQ most recently). Profitability occuring in the 2001 timeframe. The only issue here is that with a Market cap of $5B and a turnover of $13M, the share is *VERY* expensive.

CSCO & BRCM: Simple Long term choices in my book. Knocked down a bit at the moment too... Entry levels?

DCLK: One of the few profitable internuts. If printed media is going to slowly start losing ground to electronic media (read internet) so advertisers are going to want to get more and more "internet" eyeballs. DCLK is a standout in this arena.

Or am I being naive?
