Customers will determine how much memory they'll buy. From a marketing perspective, I view Dell's move this morning as, "pushing on a string." However, Dell's announcement this morning wasn't put out by their marketing department. I'd bet that the sole purpose of the announcement was to attempt to hold the stock price. Unfortunately for them, the stock market and the PC market are much more sophisticated than in Dell's earlier days.
