''Server-Group Messaging System for Interactive Applications'' pretty much sums it up. . .

Here is a recent example of HEARme.com enforcing their patent:
biz.yahoo.com The enforcement on the patent is often the most important element. . . the more you enforce it, the stronger foothold you have. . .that is just the way the U.S. patent system works. Many companies do not enforce their patents, which causes "dilution" of the patent.
