G'day all - 1st, I ve no position in TYC [except my mutual funds, maybe :( ] One cannot deny the bearish momentum of TYC. However, it seems that we are beating the dead horse here. Even Tice didn't say outright TYC would restate earnings. TYC mgt denied that. Such denial probably carries some weight if it reverses itself and consequentially attracts the ambulance chasers. Then, someone from nowhere floated the rumor that the auditors would soon resigned or be dismissed. While I don't know enough of TYC, but it seems that chat rooms like SI, Yahoo! and Raging Bull tend to fan the flame without substantiation?

To be fair though, one should equally be skeptical with the sell side analysts. While some of them are doing a lot of M&A biz from TYC and thus have ulterior motives, the fact that some of the bigger guns step up the plate [to use base ball analogy] at least show they have some backbones. If things are immanent, they probably would cover their behind first.

So, the conclusion? So much speculation, so little news. It may be easier for traders to stick to the charts and for fundamentalists to go over the numbers themselves, then no one can blame no one else.

best, Bosco
