I still believe we are being set up for another Apple scenario--beating earnings expectations and providing some momentum to the stock price.

As IBM is reducing protection in PCs, it would make sense for the possibility to further alliances with Dell. As Dell has given IBM service contracts, maybe IBM is about to farm out some PC manufacturing.

The support in Dell stock price is not very surprising to me. I am expecting a ramp up in Dell late day unless Greenspan screws it up.

Gruntal's Joe Battipaglia has talked on CNBC...

He feels that the fundamentals for a BULL market to continue are still intact. I agree and remain fully invested.

DELL will manage through this difficult time period. I own a lot less than I used too since I wanted to eliminate my margin position a few weeks ago. I love the company BUT the PC / Hardware sector is under tremendous pressure right now. That is why I choose to have at least a half a dozen different holdings. Firms like AGIL, CMGI and KIDE (the firm behind the Pokemon craze) are doing very well now. They are in hypergrowth stages and should perform well in the next few months, IMO. I'll hold my remaining DELL shares and may start to re-build my position in the first half of 2000.

Good Luck Investing.

DELL will rise again....you can count on it <VBG>!! I admire your patience and commitment Kemble.

Best Regards,

Scott
