Here's another great report (even with bad news incorporated): OXY

cbs.marketwatch.com

LOS ANGELES (CBS.MW) -- Occidental Petroleum reported third-quarter profits of 35 cents a share, beating Wall Street estimates by 10 cents thanks to cost-cutting efforts and higher oil and gas prices.
...
But Occidental continued to suffer weakness in its chemicals division. For the 1999 third quarter, the unit earned $40 million compared with $62 million a year ago. Higher raw material costs were the main culprit for the decline, the company said.

Slider, calm down... I am a hyper too.. Everybody is a hyper..

John, remember, today at about 11:27 AM ET, TMR has flattened out at 4.50 and for an hour showed no life at all? At 12.22 PM, I posted some "incoherent twaddle" (do I spell it right, Slider?) that the market is holding its breath, etc.: Message 11637558
To which you remarked that "Given the back pressure being rumored with the mud flows, I would be surprised if TMR's Breaux #1 is not a good well." At about 12:24 PM the stock went up:

Coincident? Maybe. Maybe not. There is no question that many fingers
were on the trigger, and that many people seek in these boards a clue for their decisions, and that it does not take much to sway a hesitating mind, and it does not take much to move a low volume stock. If to analyze the movement of low volume stocks in conjunction with activity
of the Internet boards... well... one would conclude that Slider is really a great man.

Now Slider, please don't shoot! It is all yours. I don't mean to encroach on your niche. Please.
