From Yahoo Chat Board:

Fatbrain.com, Inc. has announced that;
- Earnings for the upcoming quarter will blow away even their wildest expectations.
- There will be a 10 for 1 stock split.
- They have initited a 5 billion dollar stock repurchase program.
- They have now signed up every Fortune 500 company to the Print-On-Demand and FindItNow programs.
- Microsoft has approached management with a $145/share buyout proposal and a free box of steaks for each investor.

In addition, Merrill Lynch has initiated coverage of Fatbrain as a "IF YOU DON'T BUY THIS ONE YOUR AN IDIOT" rating, which is their highest.

The market has now had about 2 hours to digest this news, and the stock is acting as expected, it is down 1 3/16.

Good Luck to us all!

I still think a merger with AOL, and Amzn would be a match made in heaven,
especially with them both being Kleiner children.<<

I think Amzn will want to remain independent, a direct and indirect e-commerce portal selling directly to the consumer and a platform for businesses that will transact while Amzn collects a toll...

BTW do you know faxes are going to be toast in the up coming Millennium,
according to Forrester Research?<<

If this is a question HJ i'll answer it....No i didn't know this and i really don't care.

Ps
Are you ever going to answer my question? I think you won't because like
every other Amzn long in the world. No one wants to touch that question.
William is the only one that kinda say's the elephants will stay because of
free cash flow.<<

James i think Amzn is risky and will have to take this on a qtrly bases for now... I think William is right about Amzn for they have plenty of cash flow for expanding new product lines and markets and hopefully in doing so that negative earnings picture will start to improve. Does this answer your question?

It is my opinion AOL has no need for AMZN. It won't happen in my opinion.

Would you get KIS to fax to me?<G>
