wow these big boards continue to kill me too...

everything I make in the pennies I lose in the big caps.. and IPOs..

one of these days I'll give up on the large picks and wait for you all to get interested in the pennies again..

80% of my losses come from my inability to time the plays mentioned on this thread.. but then I know my valuable input sure helps those who like to short.. so at least I benefit them.. lol

anyway... I sold WOMN, UTCC and JCDA at losses.. got SIFY
at 36 1/2 and set a stop loss limit of 32 1/2 and sure enough end of day it filled for a 4 POINT LOSS per share and then they take it right back to $35 1/2 close and after hours it's up over $37

how does anybody limit your losses with IPOs when it seems everything I set a stop loss they tank it.. fill me and then the next day it actually goes higher than what I bought it at? If I dont set a stop loss and I can't watch it then
I risk it going in the toilet...

how do you all play these IPOs and recently IPO'ed stocks?
anyone set stop losses at all?

that 4pt loss hurt because I put just about everything into SIFY..

was able to buy back 1 min before close at 35 7/16... but
OUCH! and only got 50% of the shares back
sounds like folks are pretty bullish on it..
