Satyam Computer up on unit's Nasdaq gains Wednesday October 20, 1:05 am Eastern Time BOMBAY, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Shares of Indian software firm Satyam Computer Services Ltd were up 4.5 percent in early Wednesday trade on the back of its Internet subsidiary's strong overnight debut on the Nasdaq, dealers said. At 10:10 a.m. (0440 GMT), Satyam Computer's shares were up 74.05 rupees at 1,698, off a high of 1,725, in volume of over 300,000 shares. American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) of Satyam Infoway Ltd (NasdaqNM:SIFY - news) ended Tuesday, their first day of trading, up $17- at 35- after hitting a high of over $47 against the offer price of $18. Satyam Infoway, whose shares are not listed elsewhere, raised $75.15 million after offering 4.175 million ADRs. ``The Nasdaq debut of Satyam Infoway makes the valuation of Satyam Computer better,' said Manish Gunwani, analyst at SSKI Securities. ``It quite clearly enhances Satyam Computer's corporate image and improves its standing in the international community.' biz.yahoo.com
